Nunc est Bibendum (Now it’s time to drink).
Horace reveled for Cleopatra’s death with these words. We Italians drink wine to go besides meals and to revel for the company of family and friends. I’ve had the pleasure of tasting the products of the Ciù Ciù store, located in the Piceno inland, in Offida, in a strategic place situated amongst sea and mountain. The brand can pride itself with a huge variety of biologic wines, obtained without using any fertilizer or chemical products.

A huge variety of red wines that owe their scent and color to valuable vines (like the Sangiovese, the Montepulciano, the Merlot, the Barbera and the Cabernet).

Among these we may find the Esperanto, a red wine composed for the large part (70%) of Montepulciano, and the other remaining percentage (30%) of Cabernet, 24-months old. It has a warm taste, perfect to go along a meat-based meal.
The selection of white wines is born out of grapes that fully represent the hills of Ascoli Piceno.
The Merlettaie –Docg Pecorino cheese has a very intense and persistent scent of grass and hawthorn, with an intriguing vanilla scent, it results soft and enveloping.
I invite you all to visit the website http://www.ciuciuvini.it to choose the perfect wine for your dinners.
But careful not to use too much of it. Remember how the saying goes “In vino veritas”.
